Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow:
Northwards from New Plymouth - Taupo - East Cape: Showers in most places thru till early tomorrow then the weather clearing from the south.
Remaining North Island areas: Very cold and showery overnight with snow to 500 metres. This level includes many major highways such as the Desert and Napier -Taupo/Taihape Roads. During tomorrow the snow level rising rapidly with showers becoming confined to the main ranges and areas north of Mahia. Fine and very frosty in many places Wednesday night.
South Island places: Remaining showers clearing overnight from Nelson, Marlborough and coastal Canterbury north of Banks Peninsula. Elsewhere, fine and frosty apart from cloudy periods about Foveaux Strait. Staying fine tomorrow most places but cloud and drizzle developing in the west south of the glaciers.
Chatham Islands: Continuing cold and showery
