IBP Clarifies relation with Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL)
In the news under the tile, “HWPL Peace Delegations peace tour in the Philippines,” posted at http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/w01302/s00003/hwpl-peace-delegations-peace-tour-in-philippines.htm, the statement appears that “Meanwhile, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) has launched the HWPL National Committee on Peace in IBP and celebrated a signboard-hanging ceremony.”
The IBP hereby excepts to the truth of the above statement, the one being launched at South Cotabato Gymnasium at Koronadal City during the Welcome Dinner for the 22nd House of Delegates on January 29, 2016, is the IBP National Committee on Peace, NOT the HWPL National Committee on Peace in IBP. The IBP is a national official organization of all lawyers of the Philippines and cannot pursue or carry out its objectives or mandates under the name of any organization.
Accordingly, the IBP also excepts to the statement posted at the said website that the “IBP has appointed Chairman Lee and IWPG Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim as advisers of the committee...” No such appointment, either formally or informally, was extended by the National Laedership of the IBP or any of its Executive Officer.
The creation of the National Committee on Peace in the IBP is the organization’s expression of its commitment and dedication to pursue and advance the cause of peace in the country in particular aand the world in general.
In the program for the Welcome Dinner at the gymnasium sponsored by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, Man Hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, and Nam Hee Kim, Chairwoman of IWPG, were only given speaking parts, no more, no less. The IBP gave them the honor of addressing the 22nd House of Delegates, 20 minutes each, in recognition of their work for international peace.
Contrary to the list of attendees provided by HWPL, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was not in that occassion.
