Nigerian Police Arrests Huhuonline.com Web- Editor (Abiodun John Balogun) for being in possession of a laptop.
At a time when Nigerian security apparatus should focus on securing lives of Nigerians by arresting the menace posed by religious sects such as Boko Haram.Men of the Nigerian police force appears to be playing to the gallery, and has continued to arrest law abiding Nigerians.
Mr. Abiodun John Balogun, web-editor of huhuoline.com was yesterday, arrested by officials of the Nigerian police force in Benin City, Edo state, for being in possession of a lap-top.
Attempt to explain to the police that the laptop was his work tool fell on deaf ears.
When asked to identify himself, Mr. Balogun presented his Nigerian driver’s license, but the police insisted it wasn’t enough.
He is he being held @ the Aideyan police station, without bail.
The management of US based Huhu Groups Incorporated, publishers of huhuonline.com, has retained Festus Keyamo Chambers as Legal representative for Mr. Balogun.
