1. This is an action request.
2. Pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act, post
requests the Department's assistance in screening the following
candidates of the Iraqi Security Forces who have been nominated for
training in the United States. Post has no derogatory information.
3. The names of the proposed candidates are as follows:
NAME: Mohammed Farag Yassar LAMI
POSITION: Civilian, Ministry of the Interior
DOB: September 4, 1959
TYPE OF TRAINING: English Language Training at the Defense Language
Institute, San Antonio, TX and followed by the Defense
Acquisition/Contracting and Procurement Course at Naval Postgraduate
School, Monterey, CA.
DATES OF TRAINING: August 31, 2008 to March 27, 2009
