Nielson In Good Form

Kiwi tennis No.1 Mark Nielsen has shown good form for the Gallagher Challenger in 10 days time in Hamilton as he moved into the second round of US$25,000 Kyoto Challenger event in Japan by beating another entrant for the Waikato tournament, Grant Doyle of Australia 6/4 7/6(6)
Nielsen's second round opponent will be either South African, Neville Godwin or American Tom Chicoine.
This week's ATP Tour entry rankings has Nielsen at 227, while Doyle is 307.
Other players set to take part in the Challenger in Hamilton for the March 20-26 event also had success in the first round. Australian's Dejan Petrovic and Paul Kilderry were winners, while Great Britains Barry Cowan and Korea's Hyung Taik Lee are through to the second round as well.
Top New Zealand doubles player, James Greenhalgh is in the Kyoto doubles draw where he is teamed up with Doyle and should play his first round match later today.
Players should start arriving in Hamilton on Thursday March 16.
