Founder of Bio-Strategy earns a place on the NZBio Advisory Council
Dr Earl Stevens, founder and Managing Director of Bio-Strategy Group, has accepted an invitation to join the NZBio Advisory Council, set up to advance the interests of the New Zealand biotechnology industry.
Dr Stevens says he was delighted with the invitation, and looked forward to working with other like-minded individuals for the good of the industry.
“I believe biotechnology is a key platform on which to build a new dimension to New Zealand’s economy, and this belief is why I founded Bio-Strategy in 2001. Being able to share this passion with others on the Advisory Council, and support the industry body NZBio, is a welcome opportunity.”
Dr Stevens has considerable management experience, and is currently Chairman of Certified Organics. Previous roles include Excell Corporation CEO, Fernz Chemical Group General Manager, Carter Holt Harvey Packaging – Case Division Marketing Manager, and Trigon Packaging Systems (NZ) Ltd Sales and Marketing Manager. He graduated from Massey University in Palmerston North in 1986 with a PhD in Biochemistry.
Bio-Strategy Group consists of three operating entities designed to support and grow the biotechnology industry: Bio-Strategy Distribution Limited, Bio-Strategy Associates Limited and Bio-Strategy Europe. Through these entities, the Group is able to access and distribute the world’s best biotech supplies and equipment, while also providing the advice and investment know-how to grow the New Zealand biotechnology sector.
