PeopleSoft Reveals Next Generation of Customer Relationship Management
Auckland, 5 June, 2001 -- PeopleSoft today unveiled PeopleSoft 8 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to audiences at the PeopleSoft Leadership Summit 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Today, we have delivered on our promise to bring a complete, pure internet CRM solution to market," said Craig Conway, PeopleSoft president and CEO. "We completely re-architected our existing CRM applications to create a best-of-breed CRM solution based entirely on pure internet architecture. No other vendor can offer customers this level of access and collaboration in a CRM solution."
PeopleSoft's breakthrough CRM solution represents many industry firsts that drive dramatic business benefits. These breakthroughs include pure internet architecture, embedded analytics, and seamless integration of enterprise data and business processes.
“What we are delivering to our customers is an unrivalled solution built on a superior architecture. Because it’s pure internet, with the application delivered through a browser, deployment, maintenance and training costs are dramatically reduced over implementing a legacy client/server solution, improving an organisation’s bottom line,” said Andrew Barkla, Vice President PeopleSoft Asia Pacific.
“We are also providing our customers with a level of visibility that cannot be reached with other solutions, allowing them to identify their most profitable customers, products and sales channels, providing real-time insight that enables more profitable decision-making,” Barkla added.
PeopleSoft 8 CRM's pure internet technology enables universal access from any web device, anywhere in the world, at any time. The universal access is enhanced by PeopleSoft's industry-leading portal technology that gives users a personal on-ramp to the applications from their PC or web device.
True enterprise collaboration requires integration of business processes between applications inside and outside enterprise boundaries. PeopleSoft 8 CRM offers the most open platform in the industry for seamless integration of enterprise data and business processes. It connects marketing, sales, and customer service to supply chain, financials and human capital management systems. Benefits of seamless integration include not only the ability to fulfil customer requests, but to anticipate and exceed customer expectations by proactively managing all customer interactions.
COMindico, Australia's premier provider of wholesale convergent communications services, across a National Internet Protocol (IP) network, is one of PeopleSoft's first
PeopleSoft 8 CRM customers in Asia Pacific. Commenting on their solution, Steve Demetriou, CEO said, "COMindico chose PeopleSoft 8 CRM in response to our need to attract and retain customers, and interact with them on a more collaborative basis. PeopleSoft's CRM 8 pure internet application will form a fundamental component to our customer service differentiation, and will provide us with insight for continual improvement of our customer relationships."
PeopleSoft 8 CRM will be generally available on June 29th. Bringing rich, new functionality, the PeopleSoft 8 CRM suite includes Sales, Marketing, Field Service, HelpDesk, Interaction Management and Support applications. PeopleSoft currently expects to deliver the following languages within thirty days of general availability: French; French Canadian; German; Spanish; Italian; Dutch; Japanese; Brazilian Portuguese; Traditional Chinese; Swedish.
PeopleSoft 8 CRM is distributed through Sales Technologies Limited in New Zealand.
