Anna Lorck selected as Labour’s Tukituki Candidate
Labour Party President Moira Coatsworth has announced that Anna Lorck will be Labour’s candidate for the Tukituki electorate at the 2014 General Election. She was selected today from a field of three strong candidates to represent Labour.
Moira Coatsworth said today:
“A great crowd of Labour members attended today’s selection meeting. They have told us that the Tukituki electorate needs an MP who understands and communicates the reality of people’s lives. Our selection process has given us a very strong, local candidate who has a record of working for the people of the Bay. Anna comes from a small business background and will advocate strongly for the people of the electorate - dealing with housing, child poverty and a range of other pressing issues. Anna Lorck, Meka Whaitiri and Stuart Nash form Labour’s outstanding team of candidates to promote the revitalisation of the Bay."
Anna Lorck said today “I’m very proud to be the Labour candidate for Tukituki. I’m determined to win this campaign by working hard with and for the people in our electorate and become an effective MP, a strong voice for our region.”
“I want to be an MP respected for working tirelessly for the people and issues of Tukituki.
“I’ve lived in Hawke’s Bay all my life and I understand the issues that our people face daily,” Ms Lorck said.
