EPMU statement on Air NZ restructuring
The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union will work vigorously to protect the interests of its members at Air New Zealand as the airline proposes restructuring.
The proposal will affect EPMU members at Airport Services and Zeal 320 Ltd.
EPMU national aviation organiser Strachan Crang says the union will defend the interests of its members.
“We have been contacted by Air New Zealand this afternoon notifying us of the proposal and expect to meet with the company shortly to open consultation.
“Air New Zealand is legally required to consult with us over its proposed changes and as always we will be casting a very critical eye over any proposals to ensure they are justified and to protect our members’ interests.”
The EPMU represents 3500 workers at Air New Zealand and its subsidiaries.
