TV1 Colmar Brunton Results
Anne Pankhurst, Labour Candidate for Tauranga believes the One News poll putting her support at 15% is an excellent starting point in the lead up to the election campaign officially getting under way.
“As a starting point this is encouraging and shows that the contest for Tauranga is not just a two horse race. Although it will be a challenging campaign, there is real potential to win votes when the campaign begins in earnest”.
“I believe that Tauranga deserves great representation and I am well placed to give that with my long term knowledge of the city both from a resident and recently as a City Councillor. Tauranga is a fantastic place to be but is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and needs and deserves assistance from Central Government to achieve all that it can”.
Labour’s party vote in Tauranga is holding strong at 31 percent and has not lost any ground since the last election.
