Tibetan Groups have declared March 31 a Global Day of Action and protests, vigils and marches are being held in dozens of Cities.
Here in Wellington Tibetan groups are deeply concerned at the intention to take the Olympic Torch into Tibet and potentially cause more protest by Tibetans in their own country leading to the probable imprisonment of more Tibetans.
The second event to be held today will be a lunchtime parade starting at 12.30pm from the Bucket Fountain in Cuba Street and finishing at Midland Park.parade
The Human Rights protestors at the Chinese Embassy were joined by a practioner of Falun Gong on a silent vigil in protest at Human Rights in China.
