Clark The Jailer Adds An Extra Year
"Helen Clark's suggestion that the school leaving age may be raised is yet another example of how much she hates
children." Peter Osborne, Libertarianz Education Spokesman, said today.
"What possible benefit could her one-size-fits-all conditioning centres provide by forcing young adults to remain any
longer than they wish to?" Osborne wonders. "Her argument that we need a better educated society in the modern
information age is laughable. If a better educated society is what she wants then I suggest she lower the leaving age to
6 years."
"Once again Frau Clark has had an idea pop into her head and in her zeal to gain political mileage she would enforce
this idea on others with little regard for those who have different ideas and dreams to hers."
Osborne concludes, "Libertarianz recommends that kids smuggle in wire cutters to cut through the fences, or perhaps
spades to tunnel their way out of Nanny State detention centres. Schools should be inspiring centres of learning, not
prisons! Our education system is stagnant and uninspiring, and nothing will change as long as it is controlled by the
state. Libertarianz would separate education and state entirely. This will allow new methods, subjects and ideas to
evolve in a free market system. And who knows - perhaps kids will choose to stay at school voluntarily."
"It's Enough to Make you Vote Libertarianz!"
