Twice weekly online Political Forums now offered by Direct Democracy Party
The Direct Democracy Party of New Zealand (www.ddp.co.nz) is pleased to announce the launch of an interactive online Political Forum.
The Forum will be run twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday from 7.30pm, each week, right through to the 2008 General Election, at www.ddp.co.nz
The purpose of the Forum is to give the voting public of New Zealand the opportunity to speak directly to the Leader, Deputy Leader, and the Executive of the Direct Democracy Party of New Zealand, and discuss any and all issues of personal and public interest.
“In just a few short months, Direct Democracy have ratified a new Party Constitution; created a new Party membership protocol; appointed an energetic new Executive; secured registered candidates in the 2007 Local Body Elections; and attracted widespread media interest in its platform of Binding Citizens Initiated Referendum. We now wish to actively engage the New Zealand public regarding issues that they are interested in resolving, by giving everyone and anyone the opportunity to talk directly with our leadership about these issues – an essential ingredient in Direct Democracy” says Deputy Leader Steve Taylor.
“We would also like to extend an invitation for the New Zealand public to view our three DDP Power point presentations on our website: “Direct Democracy - Frequently Asked Questions”; "Direct Democracy – Policy Snapshots”; and “New Zealand – Democracy or Dictatorship?” says Mr Taylor.
