Ministry of Health officials have met with the board of Focus 2000 late this afternoon to discuss the findings of two recent audit reports.
A series of audits are underway and two of those have already been completed - an Organisational Systems Audit and a Financial Audit.
Deputy Director General of Disability Services Geraldine Woods says, "we have had a very positive and constructive meeting with the Board to ensure that the agreed actions resulting from the recommendations are implemented."
"Focus 2000 has already started to implement many of the agreed actions and I am confident that the board of Focus are taking the issues seriously and are committed to resolving them."
Geraldine Woods says, "the Ministry and Focus 2000 continue to meet regularly."
Audits by the Ministry, include all individual homes managed by Focus 2000, in Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua are expected to be completed by October this year.
