Seeking justice for Peter Ellis and other victims, both past and present, of the New Zealand sex abuse moral panic
Press Release

Historical Sex Allegations - The Modern Colosseum
The New Zealand public sit as spectators. The complainant and defendants fight as gladiators with the assistance of
their lawyers. Our modern colosseum - historical sex allegations in the High Court.
We are enthralled as the verdict can go either way. After all, no evidence but credibility is enough to determine the
defendants fate. And so the defendant wears a suit, the complainant weeps.
But justice? In recent months there have been acquittals and convictions. The result a lottery. And the combatants
forgotten quickly as the media focus on the next case.
The high chance that an injustice has been done belittles our justice system. Those affected by an injustice pay a
terrible price. The rules associated with such cases need urgent reform.
