Day of prayer and fasting for peace in the Holy Land.
22 December at a Mass at St Benedict's Church Newton Auckland City.
The N.Z Bishops Conference has responded to a call from Bishops of Africa and the Arab Regions for a day of prayer and fasting in the Holy Land.
Please join us in making a special effort to pray for peace and reconciliation for all inhabitants - Jewish, Christian and Muslim - of the Holy Land of Israel/Palestine.
The Bishops of Africa and the Arab Regions said: The Christian world will soon celebrate Christmas and the Nativity of Jesus , while blood continues to flow at Bethlehem and the entire area of the Holy Land ... We ask you to join us on this day to remember the suffering of so many people.
