Homicide Inquiry Begins Into 4-Month-Old's Death

Homicide inquiry in West Auckland
Waitakere Police have begun a homicide inquiry after the death of a four month old female baby. The child died at Starship Hospital on Monday evening.
On Sunday, a family member took the child to an Accident and Emergency clinic in West Auckland.
A post mortem examination was carried out yesterday. Police are unable to give details of any injuries to the child.
Child Youth and Family have been advised.
The child lived with family in Massey, the name of the child is expected to be released once next of kin have been advised.
