NZ On Air is pleased to announce the funding of a 'snap' one-hour election television special - an insight into politicians' pre-election fever as they prepare to woo voters.
The Spin Doctors Election Special aims to test the pulse of the nation in the grip of an early election.
Giles, 'make it so', O'Connor and his team will continue flirting with reality when each political party urgently calls them to Wellington to "spin" them an election win. They will help prepare campaign strategies as well as construct those all-important paid party political broadcasts.
Charged with shaking voters out of their armchairs, each consultant from O'Connor and Associates is assigned a political party to help 'make it so'.
NZ On Air chief executive, Jo Tyndall, said there was an expectation for Spin Doctors to comment on major political and news events in New Zealand.
"It's fantastic that the producer of Spin Doctors and TV One have seized the moment. As soon as the election date was announced, they pulled out all the stops to get the Spin Doctors back in action," said Ms Tyndall.
"Viewers can tune in on Wednesday July 10 at 9.30pm on TV One. It will be great entertainment for voters, and some political players might even want to watch and take notes."
