VOTES MUST BE WITH ELECTORAL OFFICERS BEFORE MIDDAY SATURDAY 13 OCTOBER
This is the last week for the public to return their voting packs - these must be in the hands of local body Electoral
Officers before noon on Saturday 13 October according to David Curry, Director of District Health Boards.
"I suggest that if people intend to return their voting papers by post they do so tomorrow to be on the safe side," Mr.
Curry said. "And I would strongly recommend that people don't leave it later than 5pm on Thursday for mailing locally."
"Of course, people can always hand deliver their papers to their local Electoral Officer before midday on Saturday.
Voters should check with their local Electoral Officer where voting papers can be hand delivered."
The Ministry of Health has been informed that some people think it is acceptable to post their voting packs on Saturday
13 October.
"If they wait till then it will be too late," Mr Curry said. "We would hate people to miss out because the Electoral
Officer did not get their votes on time."
The District Health Board postal voting is being held in conjunction with local government voting.
