ALLIANCE ALTERNATIVE BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS EXTREME LEFT POLICIES THAT WOULD RESULT FROM A VOTE FOR LABOUR
The Rt Hon Winston Peters MP, Leader of New Zealand First, today said that the Alliance’s alternative budget shows the
sort of extremist policies that would be the result of a vote for Labour.
“And the fact that the Labour Party are distancing themselves from the Alliance’s policies, as well as failing to
include them in their own costings, highlights the lengths they will go to distance themselves from the extremist
policies of the far left.
“But the public will not be fooled. They know that a vote for Labour is a vote for the extremist Alliance policies that
are so unclearly focused and would see an additional $6.5 billion spent over the next 3 years stimulating import demand,
increasing inflation while their urban biased tax policies are likely to penalise farmers and exporters.
“New Zealand First is the only party, because we are free of any partners with extremist policies, that can ensure there
is a return to moderation and common sense policies in New Zealand Politics,” said Mr Peters.
