ACT NZ is appalled by the Labour Party's announced policy on indigenous forests which if implemented, would betray the West Coast said ACT deputy leader Ken Shirley.
Helen Clark's refusal to front up to the West Coast demonstration on the steps of parliament today, and her refusal to visit the West Coast, underscores her party's arrogance and total disregard for the livelihoods of the West Coasters.
The West Coast community now has every right to turn its back on Labour on 27th November said Ken Shirley.
