Wellington MP Annabel Young is delighted to be number 18 on the National Party List. At the last election she was ranked 28.
Annabel Young said that she expects to be asked to look after the Wellington voters because she is a true Wellingtonian. "I was born, raised and educated her. I have worked in Wellington for most of my life. I have been a civil servant as well as tax practitioner in private practice. It will be great to be looking after my home city. I am coming home."
"This will give Wellington a National Party List MP whose primary loyalty is to Wellington."
Annabel Young is also pleased that Napier candidate, Anne Tolley has been ranked at 20. "This means that the National Party has recognized the importance of Hawke's Bay. I have been minding Hawke's Bay since I came into Parliament but after the election Anne Tolley will be the local National List MP and can take my role in the area." Miss Young said that she expected that, after the election, Anne Tolley would work closely with the new National Party MPs for Tuki Tuki and East Coast. Larry White, Matthew Parkinson and Anne Tolley will make a great team.
"This is good news for Wellington and also good news for Hawke's Bay."
