Labour Leader Helen Clark said today that the Prime Minister's election campaign was clearly going to be an entirely negative one.
"While the New Zealand public is crying out for a fresh vision for the future, the Prime Minister, having no vision to offer, can only attack her opponents.
"Childish attacks by her on Labour's experienced front bench will not wash. She would be better engaged directing her concern to the brat pack she has promoted which has yet to gain any public respect.
"National has nothing left to campaign on except fear, lies and smears. As the country enters a new millennium, New Zealanders are looking for positive visions of the future, not silly attacks on political opponents," Helen Clark said.
