Exporters will be fully consulted about New Zealand First’s plans to boost export production, the Rt. Hon. Winston Peters confirmed today.
He said that New Zealand had to dramatically increase its exporting base to provide more jobs and real wealth for the country.
“There is no such thing as ‘a level playing field’ Mr Peters noted as he informed delegates of his party’s intention to create a New Zealand development banking utility.
“Details of our plans will be announced during the election campaign”, Mr Peters said. “We need to establish an export guarantee scheme, and ensure the availability of venture capital to encourage value-added and high tech production.
“We must allow our people to develop their ideas here instead of taking themselves overseas”.
