ACT contests vote-rich Wgtn electorate
ACT Leader Richard Prebble confirms the ACT New Zealand candidate for another Wellington electorate, at a function in Khandallah tomorrow night.
Former broadcaster Kathryn Asare will contest Ohariu-Belmont for ACT in the next election.
Mr Prebble says Ohariu-Belmont is an affluent electorate with a large share of centre-right voters, where ACT is expected to gain many party votes. "A large party vote for ACT in this electorate alone will elect one ACT list MP to Parliament," Mr Prebble said.
The electorate includes the suburbs of Ngaio, Khandallah, Cashmere, Rangoon Heights, Ngauranga, Johnsonville, Churton Park, Broadmeadows, Newlands, Korokoro, Maungaraki, Normandale, Harbourview, Tirohanga and Belmont.
