Investigation into Bridges leak needed
ACT Leader David Seymour is calling for an investigation into the leak of Simon Bridges’ travel expenses.
This evening, Newshub ran a story revealing the Opposition Leader had spent more than $100,000 on travel over the past three months.
"It is outrageous that a bureaucrat from the Parliamentary Service saw fit to leak details of Mr Bridges’ travel expenses to media.
“This smacks of a politically-motivated attack.
"After the time and money spent on the leak of his superannuation details, Winston Peters had the nerve to criticise Bridges without calling out the leaker.
“Peters is suing his own Government after it was leaked that he made numerous false declarations and over-claimed on his superannuation.
"It is extreme hypocrisy for him to criticise Bridges who is a victim of a leak while Peters is in Government.
"New Zealanders expect an independent, professional public service. This leak is an unacceptable act and must be investigated.”
