Shower Regulations Stink To High Heaven

The Government's plan to limit water pressure in showers is yet another example of 'Nanny State' insanity - it's time Labour quit bossing people around, ACT Leader Rodney Hide said today.
"First we had the Government telling us what sort of light bulbs to use in our homes; now it's telling us how to shower. Labour's 'government-knows-best' never ends," Mr Hide said.
"Government-approved light bulbs have already been shown to be a fire hazard and - containing mercury - difficult to dispose of.
"The last thing New Zealanders need is to have to pay more.
"The red tape and 'government-knows-best' has to end. That's what my Regulatory Responsibility Bill does. The RRB will set up a bonfire of red tape - and use this ridiculous regulation as kindling," Mr Hide said.
