North Shore Should ‘Shiver In Fear’
The gloating by Brian Rudman in the Metro Herald about Aucklanders scoring “a famous victory over the villages like North Shore, Mayor Andrew Williams who shiver in fear about what the rest of us are up to” is a good example of how North Shore City, Manukau City and Waitakere City will be treated in a one City Auckland says New Zealand First local government spokesman and North Shore City resident Dail Jones.
“Personally, I see no need for North Shore City to be a part of Auckland, we are geographically separate, we have the lowest crime rate in New Zealand, we have our own facilities and we do not need to be treated as third rate citizens by Auckland City representatives” said Mr Jones.
He indicated that without the financial support of North Shore City, Manukau City and Waitakere City, residents there would be a major financial loss at the functions referred to by Mr Rudman.
“The Helicopter Rescue Service would be funded by the government if New Zealand First policies were implemented.
“It is abundantly clear that the New Zealand Herald Metro column supports only Auckland City, and has no regard or interest for Auckland as a region.
“I wholeheartedly support Mayor Williams’ view, which represents my personal view,“ concluded Mr Jones.
