ACT Reveals 20-Point Pledge Card

ACT Leader Rodney Hide, and ACT founder and candidate Sir Roger Douglas, today released the ACT Pledge Card - a
'20-Point Plan' that will take the New Zealand economy forward to beat Australia.
"The ACT Pledge Card is nothing like Labour's - it is a serious pledge to New Zealand, containing the biggest election
bribe ever," Mr Hide said.
"This is a pledge to bring New Zealand wages up to beat Australia's; a definitive plan to grow the economy cake that,
for too long, Labour has been Hell-bent on carving up. "The fact is that by carving up the economy cake, rather than
growing it, Finance Minister Dr Michael Cullen and his Government have driven our children - our best and brightest -
across the ditch to the greener pastures of Australia.
"We want our children to come home - bringing with them their drive, talent and skills. But we must first make New
Zealand a place our children want to return to - not a place where Dr Cullen expands his surplus to buy train sets while
families struggle to make ends meet.
"New Zealand is at an economic crossroads and it's time for real decisions. ACT's '20-Point Plan' will sort the wheat
from the chaff - it will differentiate between Parties who want to grow a bigger cake for the good of the nation, and
those who only want to carve it up," Mr Hide said.
