Brownlee seeks clarification from RNZ
National Party Deputy Leader Gerry Brownlee is calling for an explanation from Radio New Zealand after the sudden axing of a regular political segment.
“Radio New Zealand needs to explain whether the sudden dumping of this segment has anything to do with the strong criticism of Labour’s pledge card rort last week.”
Mr Brownlee understands the segment, featuring Matthew Hooton and Peter Harris, is being axed.
“I think Radio New Zealand needs to publicly reveal whether this segment attracted criticism from Labour, and whether that had anything to do with the decision to drop it.
“I’m sure the public broadcaster will be eager to deal with any perception of bias,” says Mr Brownlee.
