Code of Good Faith changes
Labour Minister Paul Swain today announced changes to the Code of Good Faith in Collective Bargaining.
"The code helps employers and unions identify good faith issues around collective bargaining, as required under the Employment Relations Act."
Mr Swain said the changes to the code follow last year's Employment Relations Act amendments. The changes also take into account the experience working under the previous code.
"The review of the code has been a good example of government, industry and unions working together and I thank the Good Faith Review committee for its work," Mr Swain said.
For further information and copies of the Code of Good Faith, go to www.ers.dol.govt.nz/goodfaith/code.html or call the Department of Labour's Workplace Employment Relations and Health and Safety line on freephone 0800 20 90 20.
