Social Report more Labour spin
National Party Welfare spokeswoman Judith Collins says the Ministry of Social Development's Social Report 2005 is yet more spin from a desperate Steve Maharey.
"Under Steve Maharey, anything with the name social in the title is inevitably a load of twaddle.
"I sincerely hope that people see this for what it clearly is - yet more propaganda from this desperate Labour Government.
"No amount of spin can hide the fact that our living standards are well below that of Australia, that we have nearly 300,000 working-age people living in a state of welfare dependency, and that we have a wasteful and inefficient health system that Labour refuses to do anything about," says Ms Collins.
