Budget Fails Nz's Future
New Zealand First says the Budget fails to create any promise of a more prosperous nation.
Rt Hon Winston Peters said that there was nothing to help provide a real improvement in employment, health, education and housing.
“This budget leaves too many families perched precariously on a dangerous high wire welfare act rather than on a stable footing. It does not create a vision for creating prosperity.
“It rewards an inefficient bureaucracy and promotes further welfare dependency. The extra money can only be accessed by filling out more forms and working through even more layers of bureaucracy.
“Businesses need a bold export plan – not more money for the export bureaucracy. The individuals who create this nation’s wealth will be wondering why they bother,” said Mr Peters.
