Locke Guilty Too
Green MP Keith Locke is guilty of the same offence of which he has accused SIS Inspector General Laurie Greig in the Ahmed Zaoui case, ACT New Zealand Deputy Leader Ken Shirley said today.
"Mr Locke has accused Mr Greig of partial behaviour, and wants him thrown out of office for his reported alleged suggestion that Mr Zaoui should be on the next plane out of New Zealand.
"However, we don't know all the truth behind Mr Zaoui's activities and - of necessity - most of the information gained from other intelligence networks must remain secret.
"Mr Locke has assumed Mr Zaoui is innocent - while at the same time asserts that one of the few people who does have access to secret information - Mr Greig, is guilty of misleading us and should lose his job," Mr Shirley said.
