The Law Is An Ass
New Zealand First has called on the Government to amend the law that allows a Somali rapist to remain in the country.
“If the Minister of Immigration will not challenge the ruling that stopped this criminal’s deportation on the grounds of legal advice then either she is ill advised or the law is an ass,” said New Zealand First deputy leader Peter Brown.
“Either way the buck stops with Ms Dalziel. New Zealand First would certainly support the prompt passage of legislation that overcomes this nonsense. The health and safety of New Zealanders must have priority over the home comforts of imported rapists and kidnappers.
“There is a problem, Minister, please fix it. Please stop hand wringing and start being responsible. Please stop being impotent and start being constructive. Please stop hiding behind silly laws and act for the victims – past and future,” said Mr. Brown.
