Independent review of health impacts for painted apple moth spray zone
“A much needed opportunity for spray zone residents to register any health concerns” is how West Auckland Labour MPs
welcomed news of a new public health survey of the painted apple moth spray zone.
Director General of Health, Dr Karen Poutasi announced today a new, comprehensive public health survey for West Auckland
residents who feel they have been affected by the campaign against painted apple moth.
The review will be conducted by an independent researcher or researchers who will consult widely with the community, do
extensive analysis and present a report to the Director-General of Health.
“We are glad our people will be able to have their say – both verbally and in writing” said Labour’s West Auckland MPs.
