Greens to get on their bikes
Green MPs Rod Donald, Metiria Turei and Mike Ward will be cycling to work tomorrow to participate in the seventh Wellington Bike to Work Day.
Bike to Work Day is part of National Bike Wise Week, aiming to draw attention to the benefits of cycling to work.
The trio will join other Wellington residents for a free breakfast in the Civic Centre between 7am and 9am, Wednesday, February 19, before cycling to parliament.
Avid cyclist and Green spokesperson for Sports, Fitness and Leisure, Mike Ward will make a further effort by cycling to Island Bay and back.
The Green MPs are happy to encourage commuters to leave their cars at home.
