Green MPs To Protest Inner City 'Bypass'

Published: Thu 21 Jun 2001 02:42 PM
Green MPs Sue Kedgley and Nandor Tanczos will this evening join a protest against the proposed inner city 'bypass' which, if ever built, would push a multi-lane motorway extension through the heart of Te Aro.
The protest, which is organised by Campaign for a Better City, will be outside the launch of the National Roading Programme at the Park Royal. Sue Kedgley was invited to the launch but has decided to protest instead.
The Green MPs will be present between 5.15 and 5.30.
