Rub-a-dub-dub three Greens in a tub... (again)
Green Party co-convenor Richard Davies and two friends will feature on the Green Party's float in this weekend's Hero Parade.
Mr Davies and two friends will be in a bath tub for the parade down Ponsonby Road in much the same fashion that so outraged Winston Peters last year.
"Green Party policy goes beyond tolerating diversity to actively celebrating it, and that certainly applies to the whole issue of sexual orientation," said Mr Davies.
"The Green Party are the only party in this parliament with a full sexual orientation policy and we are really looking forward to celebrating the diversity in our communities this weekend.
"As we said in response to Mr Peters' attack on the Greens last year, we believe that having fun is an essential part of healthy living and our participation in Hero is a statement of that," he said. "We would love to see Winston there."
Mr Davies said the Green MPs Keith Locke and Rod Donald would accompany the float, although they would not be his bathtub companions.
