Health Minister should apologise over 'cover-up' accusations
The Health Minister should tender an apology to those whose reputations she impugned with her suggestion of a 'cover-up'
involving National Party members over the Gisborne Hospital prostate cancer issue, National's Health spokesperson Wyatt
Creech said today.
"Her suggestions were party politically motivated.
"Annette King was quick to draw conclusions that painted a very negative picture questioning some people's professional
judgement. They quite rightly were upset.
"Now she has received a report from CCMAU showing there was no so-called "National Party cover-up". She should backtrack
and apologise.
"The Minister should stop playing petty party politics and get on with restoring people's confidence in health
services."
