Published: Tue 13 Jun 2000 12:36 AM
Opposition Leader Jenny Shipley will be off work this week after being admitted to Wellington Hospital suffering chest discomfort.
The initial medical advice is that the condition is minor and Mrs Shipley is expected to be in hospital for two to three days for further tests.
Burton Shipley said Jenny had been working hard and he wanted to make certain she had a decent rest before she returned to work.
Mrs Shipley is expected back at work next week.
Deputy Leader Wyatt Creech will act as Leader while Mrs Shipley is away.
