Hospital solution most logical
"The Health Minister's announcement of a two-site hospital development for Waitakere and North Shore is a logical solution," Opposition Health spokesperson Wyatt Creech said today.
"The decision is a welcome step forward, and continues the work National started in Government to ensuring people in North Shore and West Auckland had access to good health services.
"As part of the announcement of a new hospital in central Auckland, National announced that hospital services in West Auckland and the North Shore would be expanded.
"It is pleasing to see that work nearing completion. As Minister I pushed for a two site-development proposal and am looking forward to seeing the development proceed."
