Securities Commission Re-Appointments

The Acting Minister of Commerce Trevor Mallard has announced the re-appointments of Euan Abernethy and Falcon Clouston to the Securities Commission.
Euan Abernethy has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Commission through to 30 June 2001. Falcon Clouston has been re-appointed as a member of the Commission for three years.
Mr Abernethy has been Chairman of the Commission since April 1995 and is a former partner of Bell Gully Buddle Weir in Wellington.
Mr Clouston is a sharebroker and a director of Tower Managed Fund Limited. He is also a well-known and respected member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange. Both have extensive experience in the securities market sector.
Mr Abernethy and Mr Clouston have said they are pleased to be continuing their work with the Securities Commission.
There are two more positions on the Securities Commission which are soon to be advertised.
