The Dominion leads today with a report that NATO ground forces were preparing last night to enter Kosovo after Yugoslavia finally signed a peace deal over the Serbian province.
The front page photo shows a helicopter delivering a tank near the Macedonian border with Kosovo as troops wait for orders to move.
Also on the front page:
- a report that a jury of five women and seven men will spend three months in the High Court at Wellington deciding if Scott Watson, 28, murdered missing Blenheim friends Olivia Hope and Ben Smart;
- a report that eight members of the police executive got performance bonuses last year and four did not.
- A report that NZ Post is investigating how 80 X-rays, taken at a Wellington hospital and posted to Wellington GPs late last year, ended up in Dunedin.
