- RAPIST CONSTABLE: Convicted rapist Constable Colin McLean is sitting in jail awaiting sentence on full police pay.
Last night Police Minister George Hawkins said last night he could not be discharged from the force, but today there has
been an about face. The Police Association say they can’t see why Constable McLean wasn’t stood down without pay as soon
as he was convicted.
- LAMB DECISION: The United States is considering its next move after the WTO ruled that American tariffs on our lamb
violates WTO trade rules. American farmers warn they won’t give up the fight against cheap NZ lamb, but the New Zealand
industry says there’s no limit to how much lamb could be sold to the Americans.
- STAR WARS: George W. Bush relaunched Americas controversial Star Wars missile defence system today. The project is
