AUSTRALIAN APPLE EXPORTS: Jim Sutton says he will not be taking the Aussies to the WTO over restrictive conditions on apple exports yet. He says he will carry on with the Australian process initially. Meanwhile the Australians say the decisions were made by scientists on the basis of science.
ISRAEL PEACE: More than 90 people have been killed in two weeks and three Palestinians have been killed today as international leaders gather in Israel to discuss peace with Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat.
YUGOSLAVIA: Political Socialist allies of Slobodan Milosevic have refused to surrender control of the Serbian government.
DR GRAHAM PARRY: The lawyer acting for Northland Gynaecologist Dr Graham Parry is concerned that new concerns have been raised about the clinical practices of his client.
SLIP: The police say the road between Sumner and Lytellton has been closed by a slip.
