MEN ESCAPED: Two men described as dangerous have broken out of Mt Eden Prison.One of the prisoners is Travis Burns, charged with murdering Whangaparaoa mother Joanne McCarthy two years ago.The other is Tommy Nikau, who is facing aggravated robbery charges.
GUNS STOLEN: A New Zealand First MP claims criminals are getting information about gun collections from the Wanganui police computer. The remarks come after a gun collector in Wellington was robbed of 200 of guns in the weekend.
LION LEAVES: The country’s biggest brewer, Lion Nathan, is quitting New Zealand. The move follows BIL leaving for Singapore.
