NEWSFLASH: Speech From The Throne Begins

The Governor-General Sir Michael Hardie Boyes is presently delivering the "Speech From The Throne" in which the government lays out its legislative programme for the coming three year term.
The speech is delivered by the Governor-General by constitutional convention with Parliament attending him in the Legislative Council Chamber. He sits in a throne first used by Queen Elizabeth shortly after her coronation in 1954.
Scoop will post the full text of the speech when its has been delivered. At 14 pages this is expected tol take around 30 minutes.
