CRICKET - Australia crushed Pakistan in World Cup cricket with the most one-sided final in the tournament's history. A
resurgent Shane Warne set the platform bowling 4-33 in nine overs as Australia dismissed Pakistan for 132. Adam
Gilchrist then made short work of the Pakistani bowling line up hitting 54 off 36 balls to take the honours in just 20.1
overs for the loss of two wickets.
CRICKET - Yorkshire pace bowler Darren Gough has been ruled out of the upcoming first Test against New Zealand due to a
calf injury.
RUGBY - South Africa achieved a record 101-0 victory over Italy in their second and final test on Saturday. The
Springboks scored 15 tries while fielding a side withseven changes to the team which beat Italy 74-3.
RUGBY - England easily beat a weakened Queensland side with a 39-14 win.
NETBALL - The Silver Ferns had a walk over against the touring South African side with a 82-39 victory in the second
test in Christchurch.
FOOTBALL - The All Whites Soccer team had a notable 2-All draw with Poland in Bangkok. Poland are ranked 23rd in the
world, many, many, many places above NZ in football's ranking system.
