Select Committee Reports Presented

A number of select committees reports were presented when Parliament resumed at 2pm.
These were:
Briefing from the Commissioner of Police regarding Police Operation Eight by the Māori Affairs Committee
Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill (No 3) by the Local Government and Environment Committee
2012/13 financial review of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise by the Commerce Committee
2012/13 financial review of the Broadcasting Commission by the Commerce Committee
Petition 2011/103 of David John McCormick and 433 others by the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee
Petition 2011/41 of William Joseph Rea by the Health Committee
2012/13 financial review of the Environmental Protection Authority by the Local Government and Environment Committee
2012/13 financial review of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra by the Government Administration Committee
Speaker David Carter gave a ruling following a request from an MP last week. He reiterated MPs should not discuss cases before the court in the House. He also said it was wrong for any MPs to accuse each other of corruption as this offended the House, accusations of corruption should be taken to the Speaker.
MPs then began Question Time.
